Mindful Mindset And Cannabis Yoga With Highlites Oasis Founder Danielle Olivarez

Danielle Olivarez entrepreneur, conscious consumption guide, yoga instructor, and owner of Highlites Oasis. She's helping stoners who care cultivate a sustainable and intentional relationship with cannabis through self-study, community care, and education. She hosts classes by the sea in Santa Monica, as well as online. In this episode, she shares her journey from having a toxic attachment to cannabis into having a balanced and healthy relationship. We go over what to expect when joining an in-person sesh for nervous, introverted stoners like me, and advice for overcoming self-doubt in the process of learning how to be your own boss.

Host: What is your go-to confidence mantra?

Danielle: I am capable.

Host: What is your favorite yoga pose?

Danielle: Ardha Chandrasana or half-moon pose.

Host: Typical day off in L.A.?

Danielle: I'm at the beach smoking weed, uh, and possibly just like cooking food, watching TV, doing everything that my anxious brain tells me that I shouldn't be doing.

Host: Describe your relationship with weed in one sentence.

Danielle: Making the habitual a ritual.

Host: What is your biggest dream for women in cannabis?

Danielle: For all of them to grow and be successful and actually, you know, make money in the industry, which to be honest, only a small amount of people actually do. And it's corporate white men who are only in it for the money while people are in jail. It's for them to really connect to the essence of the plan, which is what we all already do. But like I said, there are so many men, just like outdated ways of thinking that are being put into this industry that women are trying very hard to push out. So I just hope that we can continue to do that.

Host: Where can people find you and the Highlights community online and in person?

Danielle: On Instagram it’s @highlitesoasis. I am on Instagram @groovy_dani

I have a newsletter that I put out every other week called Necessary Reminders. And that's just the three ways that we can, like, stay connected. We're not already just seeing each other in class or working together one-on-one.
